Training coach for iPhone and Apple Watch
A program that keeps up with you.
Three photos and a few answers become a program built around your body, your gym and your time. iris runs it with you set by set, and every week it adjusts to what you actually did.
First assessment and first program free.
One loop, three steps.
Writing a program once is easy. Keeping it right, week after week, in a real gym, is the whole job. iris is built around that loop.
01 · Assessment
Three photos. One order of priorities.
The camera guides you into place: a silhouette fixes the distance, the shutter waits until you hold still, and a photo that can’t be read is caught on your phone before it goes anywhere. What comes back isn’t a score. It’s which muscle groups come first for you, and how many sets each one gets.
- Front, side and back, in the app or from your gallery.
- Priorities from 1 to 5; weekly sets follow from them.
- Posture is described as an observation, never a diagnosis.
02 · Training
In the gym, set by set.
Weight and reps are already filled in: from the program the first time, from your last session after that. Finish the set, tap how it went, and the rest timer starts. There’s nothing to type.
- Every change in weight comes with its reason.
- When rest is over, your wrist taps or your lock screen lights up.
- Works offline. The gym doesn’t need signal.
03 · Adjustment
Every week, four lines.
Weigh in a few times a week. iris reads the four-week trend, where day-to-day swings cancel out, and compares it with the band your goal calls for. Then it writes four lines: what changed, why, what stayed, what’s next.
- Calories move in steps of 200, never by feel.
- Sets move two at a time, per muscle group, from your performance and effort.
- Every four weeks, new photos re-rank your priorities. A one-step shift is noise, and iris says so.

Principles
Priorities, not flaws.
iris never tells you what’s wrong with your body. It tells you what comes first. Tap a card to see how it says it.
Three layers, always labelled.
- Measured
What you enter and log: body weight, sets, reps, load. Shown as numbers.
- Inferred
What the photos suggest: how muscle groups rank against each other, posture observations. Shown as an order or a sentence, never as a number.
- Can’t be measured
Body-fat percentage, bone lengths, clinical posture, injury risk. iris says so, plainly.
“I can’t see this clearly from this angle. Let’s look again at the next check‑in.”
No body scores. No rankings. No comparing you with anyone else.
Privacy
Your photos are yours.
Photos of your body are among the most personal things you can share. iris is built around that, not around the exceptions.
Checked on your phone
Framing, light and pose are checked on the device. A photo that can’t be used never leaves it.
Encrypted on the way
Photos travel over an encrypted connection, and only for the analysis.
No photo archive
The iris server doesn’t keep an archive of your photos.
Your choice, one by one
Health data, photo analysis and cloud backup are separate choices, all off until you turn them on.
Delete any time
One session, or your whole account, sign-in included.
Not for sale
Your data isn’t sold and isn’t used for advertising.
iris is for adults. You declare that you’re 18 or over; your age is never guessed from a photo.
Read the privacy policyEverywhere you train
The session follows you.
A program only works if it’s there when you are: on your wrist, on your lock screen, in the basement gym with no signal.
-
Apple Watch
The whole session on your wrist: sets, rest, live heart rate. It works without the phone and syncs when they meet.
-
Lock screen
The exercise, the set and the rest countdown on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. Weights stay off it.
-
Heart rate and Health
Live heart rate from Apple Watch, compatible headphones or a Bluetooth strap. If you choose, sessions are saved to Apple Health as strength workouts.
-
Story cards
Share a session as a card built from your own numbers. No scores, no comparisons.
-
Saved after every set
Everything lands on your phone first. A session cut short still counts.

Questions
Good questions.
Is iris a medical app?
No. iris is a training app. It doesn’t diagnose, treat or assess any health condition, and it doesn’t build rehabilitation programs. If you have pain or an injury, talk to a doctor or a physiotherapist.
Can iris tell me my body-fat percentage?
No. It can’t be measured reliably from a photo, so iris doesn’t guess. It tells you which muscle groups come first instead.
Do I need a full gym?
No. Choose a full gym, a limited gym or home, and iris only picks exercises your equipment allows.
What if I lose weight too fast?
If the four-week trend shows you losing more than 1% of your body weight a week, iris eases the calorie deficit and tells you why. If your BMI is under 18.5, it won’t build a program with a deficit at all. None of this needs a subscription.
Does it work without an Apple Watch?
Yes. The watch is optional; the whole session runs on the iPhone.
Who is iris for?
Adults who already train, or have decided to start, and want a program built for them that keeps adapting as they go.
When can I get it?
iris is coming to the App Store soon, for iPhone (iOS 18 or later) and Apple Watch (watchOS 11 or later).
